The Gallipoli Medical Research Foundation has launched their latest study investigating Mental Health First Aid training for families of ex-service personnel with a mental health condition.
They are seeking family members of ex-service personnel to complete a 12 hour Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) training course (across 2 days).
The course will be free and will involve gaining skills in providing initial support to adults experiencing mental health problems or crises. The course will be delivered by an accredited MHFA Instructor at the Health Hub Morayfield.
The workshop will be held over a weekend.
Workshop: April 6th and April 7th
Saturday April 6th 8:30am - 4:00pm
Sunday April 7th 9:00am - 4:30pm
Morning tea, lunch, and afternoon tea will be provided.
To be eligible for participation you are required to be:
- A family member of ex-service personnel with a mental health condition (including partner, parent, sibling, adult child, in-law or extended family member).
- Currently residing with or in weekly contact with the relative with a mental health condition.
- Over 18 years old.
