Dr Kiren Kodali is a locally trained doctor, who graduated from the University of Queensland in 2012. He is a CASA Registered Pilot & a CASA appointed DAME.

He currently flies out from Caloundra Airport and works closely with Pilots and Aviation Schools across Moreton Bay and Sunshine Coast Areas.

Services Offered:

• Class 1 Medical Certificate – Air Transport Pilot Licence, Commercial Pilot Licence, Multi-crew Pilot Licence, Flight Engineer Licence, Student Flight Engineer Licence.
• Class 2 Medical Certificate – Recreational Pilot Licence, Private Pilot Licence, Student Pilot  & Commercial Pilot (Balloon) Licence.
• Class 3 Medical Certificate- Air Traffic Control Licence, Flight Service Officers.

Initial Issue of Class 1 & 3 Certificates will need below additional testing:

• Audiometry : Completed by Dr Kiren. $100 Fee
• ECG: Completed by Dr Kiren. $100 Fee
• Cardiovascular risk score: Completed by Dr Kiren
• Serum Lipids & Blood Glucose testing: Dr Kiren will order this for you and you can get it done via any pathology in the area. Not medicare covered.
• Optometrist: CASA advises that for Class 1 & 3 initial medical,  a formal eye assessment is needed via (DAO) designated aviation opthamologist or (CO) credentialed Optometrist, so you will have to book into one for a formal eye assessment. Medical Certificate Renewals Class 1 & 3:

• ECGs are required at the first renewal after the age of 25, 30, 32, 34, 36, 38 and 40. After 40, ECG is required annually.
• Audiograms are required at the first renewal after the age of 25 and then every 5 years from the age of 25
• Fasting Lipids and Glucose testing are required at the first renewal after the age of 25 and then every 5 years from the age of 25 until the age of 60, when they are required annually
• An formal eye examination is required by a designated aviation ophthalmologist (DAO)  or CO ( credentialed Optometrist )  at age 60, then every 2 years after.

Pre-Appointment Checklist:

• Please complete the online medical questionnaire & application form via your log-in to the CASA Medical Record System (MRS), prior to attending the appointment. From 3rd Dec 2022, access to MRS will be via myCASA portal.
• It is a requirement that a current Aviation Reference Number (ARN) be held by the person requesting the Aviation Medical.
• Pre-Pay seperate CASA application processing fee prior to the appointment.
• Bring in Photo ID to all appointments.
• List and please bring all medications both prescription and over the counter to your appointment.
• Provide details of any medical history, surgical history & specialist correspondence.
• Bring the most recent aviation medical certificate to your appointment.
• Bring along any recent test results you may have had ( blood tests valid for 3 months).
• Bring any corrective glasses including spare glasses and contact lens, even if seen designated aviation optometrist recently.
