Dr Yanez Peerbaccus is a dual-trained gastroenterologist and internal medicine specialist. He graduated from the University of Cape Town-South Africa in 2005. He then moved to New Zealand in 2007 where he completed his advanced training in Auckland and awarded his fellowship (FRACP) in 2018. He has received extensive training in general gastroenterology, inflammatory bowel disease, liver diseases, motility disorders and functional disorders. He relocated to North Brisbane in 2020 and consults privately at the North Lakes Specialist Medical Centre where he provides a wide range of services in general gastroenterology and hepatology. He performs endoscopic procedures at North Lakes Monserrat Day Hospital and Caboolture private hospital.
His interests include: Microscopic colitis, inflammatory bowel disease, coeliac disease, GORD, dysphagia, irritable bowel syndrome, other functional disorders, liver disorders, bowel cancer screening, polypectomy, haemorrhoid banding and therapeutic endoscopy.
