Dr Thackeray graduated from The University of Queensland in 2010, after previously completing degrees in Biomedical Science and Nursing, and working as a Registered Nurse.

She obtained her fellowship with the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine (ACRRM) in 2017 as a Rural Generalist with anaesthetics advanced skills.

She is interested in all aspects of medicine across the lifespan.
