Hayley qualified as a registered nurse in the United Kingdom in 2000. Since emigrating to Australia in 2004 Hayley has worked in various nursing roles including perioperative, community, general surgery, nursing education, quality and safety, blood management and hepatology. She completed her Masters of Nursing (Advanced Practice) in 2014 and Masters of Nurse Practitioner in 2021.
Hayley is passionate in the identification, assessment and management of patients with, or at risk of chronic liver disease. She is experienced in the management of Hepatitis B and C, and is an authorised community s100 prescriber (Hepatitis B). She has an interest in fatty liver disease and lifestyle interventions to prevent disease progression. Hayley is also able to assess and diagnose simple medical conditions, provide routine scripts and medical certificates.
Hayley is endorsed with APHRA as a Nurse Practitioner and is a member of the Australian Hepatology Association (AHA) and the Australian College of Nurse Practitioners. She supports the education of other clinicians as a content presenter for AHA and Australasian Society for HIV, Viral Hepatitis and Sexual Health Medicine (ASHM).
