Dr Padmini Menon was born and raised in India. She undertook her tertiary studies at the University of Calicut, obtaining a Bachelor of Science, a Bachelor of Medicine and a Bachelor of Surgery. After completing three years of Basic Physician Training in hospitals throughout Victoria and Queensland, she was selected into the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (RACP); after successful completion of the RACP Fellowship examination in Medical Oncology and Palliative Medicine.
She underwent five years of supervised training at the Princess Alexandra Hospital, Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital, Gold Coast University Hospital, St Vincent’s Private Hospital, the Redcliffe Hospital, and the Tweed Heads Hospital.
Dr Menon manages all tumour streams, however has a special interest in gastrointestinal, hepatobiliary, and head and neck cancers. She also has completed her training in Palliative Medicine and provides holistic cancer care to her patients.
